This is one of those love stories that you see in the movies.
Matt & Breanna first met way back in the 4th grade but it wasn’t until their senior year in high school they started dating. When I asked Breanna how did she know Matt was THE ONE for her, she replied,
“I looked at him one day and realized that I would fight my way through hell to be with him, that nothing in the universe could stop me from loving him.”
Obviously Matt felt the same way because exactly 6 years later from the day Matt surprised her with a trip to Newport, CT. They spent their 6 year anniversary having some drinks with friends. Afterwards they returned to their hotel room and went out on the balcony to take a selfie together. As Breanna was looking at the photo, Matt got down on one knee and asked his soul mate to marry him. SHE SAID YES!
On June 19, 2015, exactly one year after their engagement, Matt and Breanna were married at Barberry Hill Farms in Madison, CT. This is a beautiful and intimate location for a wedding. One of the most beautiful weddings I have been to. I asked the couple to describe their wedding day style and they said it can be defined as “Eclectic Love“. The decorations were very rustic yet elegant, with the use of burlap, wood, flowers, and other natural elements. Breanna’s dress was from April Rose Bridal in Guilford, CT. Most if not all of the decorations were D.I.Y. made by the couple or the families of the couple. The entire day was like a fairy tale, complete with a horse drawn carriage entrance and exit to the ceremony. Afterwards the guests enjoyed some of the best pizza I’ve tasted, provided by “The Big Green Truck”. This is a traveling wood fire brick oven pizza truck! They even had gelato for dessert!
As the sun went down and the moon took its place in the sky, the party continued under the tent below. At the very end of the night the guests grabbed some sparklers and headed out to the field next to the tent for a sparkler sendoff. Little did the bride and groom know, the bride’s grandfather surprised her with a song. He was given a wireless microphone and he sang to the newlyweds. A truly heartfelt moment that will be a beautiful memory for years to come. A perfect ending to a perfect day and a beautiful beginning to a beautiful marriage.
