Traci and Jason were married on August 10, 2014 at Temple Beth Elohim in Brewster, NY.
Like many of my brides and grooms, they met online. I see so many people being introduced to their soul mates through the internet every year, and it is becoming more and more common as the years go by. They have a relationship that is not only built on love, but they also share the same beliefs, values, and dreams. Just one more reason why the internet is awesome! After 14 months together, Jason surprised Traci with a ring and 15 months later it was their wedding day…
It was a beautiful summer day with a big blue sky and fluffy white clouds. It was indeed a perfect day for a wedding. We started off the day with a “First Look”. For those of you who have never heard the term first look, it is a moment before the ceremony when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. Although this goes against the old tradition that the couple is not supposed to see one another before the ceremony, it allows the couple to have a special moment alone together before the craziness of the wedding day begins. It also allows me, the photographer, to get some amazing photos!
Since they have seen each other before the ceremony, we were able to do our group photos ahead of time. Getting the photos done means we didn’t have to rush after the ceremony which allowed us to take our time and really enjoy the session. We decided to do the photos at Tarrywile Park in Danbury, CT.
Afterwards we headed to the Temple where Traci and Jason signed the Ketubah, shortly followed by their beautiful ceremony. After the ceremony everyone attended the cocktail hour, including the bride and groom since we had already taken the photos! Traci and Jason even joined in with the band “Angry O’Hara’s” for a song or two! It was really a special moment.
I asked Traci to describe her wedding day in a few words. She said “Simple & Classic, following Jewish Tradition” If I had to describe her wedding day in a few words, I would say “Perfect and Filled with Love”. It is very obvious that what Traci and Jason have for each other is true love. I am so glad to have been a part of their wedding day and I wish them many years of happy marriage!
I had the pleasure of having Corey Roberts from Alyse Nicole Photography along with me for the wedding. He is a fantastic photographer! Check his work out by visiting www.alysenicolephotography.com/
