Leaf in the Rain
They usually say, “April showers bring May flowers.” but this year is a little different. April brought the flowers and May is bringing the rain.
It is expected to rain all weekend, which is a real shame for those who have activities planned for the Memorial Day weekend. Others have proms, weddings, etc which will all become unpleasantly moist. Blegh…
On today’s agenda, I will be attending a dance recital, Steppin’ Out, in New Haven, CT at the Shubert Theater to do a video gig. As most of you know I am known for my photography but I also do video. I actually have been doing video professionally longer than I have been doing photography!
I will also bring along my 35mm stills camera since there is always a great photographic opportunity is New Haven, especially in the area I will be in. I took some photos of the interior of the theater last year when I did this gig and I was really happy with the way the photos came out. I shot with a 10mm lens last time, so I am bringing along a 50mm this time to force myself to take a different approach in how I capture what I see.
Anyway, now that I have finished rambling about that, the photo pictured above is just a little leaf that caught my eye on my way into my home this afternoon. One lonely leaf on the lawn with the rain beaded upon its surface. 🙂
