Despite the rain and having to adjust their day accordingly, Nicole & Dwayne never let that spoil their special day. They had their ceremony and reception at Anthony’s Ocean view in New Haven, CT. The theme of their wedding was New Orleans/The Big Easy and the details they planned out certainly complimented the theme. From Mardi Gras masks, New Orleans street signs as table “numbers” to the VooDoo potato chips as part of the favors, and traditions such as the Southern Cake Pull and Second Line, truly portrayed the southern feel they wanted.
The bride Nicole was beautiful in her champagne colored dress and her maids in royal purple and the guys looked dapper in their tuxes and converse. The ceremony was filled with love, and they were united with a Unity Sand Ceremony. After the ceremony I was able to sneak them away for just a few moments to capture the umbrella photos you see here. I love this time with my brides and grooms. It gives them a moment together and I get to take those extra special shots they will cherish for years to come. Back inside Anthony’s never ceases to provide a feast of delicious food and drink. And guests took their turns inside a custom photo booth area complete with custom backdrop! The Shaw’s enjoyed their reception with family and friends, and made memories that will last forever.
